Embracing the unintentional bond

by - June 03, 2023

In a world of insecurities we reside,

Gifted by the scars of days gone by.

Two souls, haunted by traumas deep,

Inflicted upon them by others, they weep.

Simple desires, a pure friendship craves,

A sacred bond, the support they lack.

In the remnants of their fractured souls,

Lie the remnants of what they never received, their goals.

Craving tenderness, longing for care,

Yearning for authority, for hands to share.

Seeking security, promises not to part,

At night, their insecurities slowly start.

For her, a beauty adorned with flaws,

Yearning for friendships, but fearing loss.

Anxiety whispers, "Will they stay true?

Can they match the effort she'll invest in you?"

Authority craved, not just for herself,

In a fluorescent dress, her heart on her sleeve.

She desires recognition, to be treated with grace,

A queen in her realm, a queen in her space.

Caring for others, yet needing care too,

Healing the wounds of many, but needing healing too.

A fearless facade, hiding a timid core,

Longing for someone to stand for him, like never before.

For him, a giver, drained until empty,

Silent and withdrawn, fearing vulnerability.

What if the world sees his fearful side,

Scared of losing friends, he chooses to hide.

Memories boxed, cherished but fought,

In dreams, he battles demons, unrelenting onslaught.

Pampering desired, yet rejected with strife,

As he slowly finds solace, reclaiming his life.

Learned and wise, few hold his trust,

Guarded heart, fearing wounds unjust.

Yearning for the unconventional, the world denies,

To be claimed, to be cherished, with love in their eyes.

Together they stand, a union so sweet,

Understanding, supporting, making each other complete.

Happy for one another, they truly care,

Healing wounds, lighting candles, the friendship they share.

Gladly they met, their paths intertwined,

But insecurities linger, a constant on their mind.

Through nights of uncertainty, they strive,

Hoping their fears won't keep their bond alive.

For their connection, an unintentional grace,

Promising to be there, whatever the future may embrace.

No sadness in witnessing each other's tears,

Only a desire to see happiness, and to calm each other's fears.

A bond unbreakable, a smile that shines,

In the presence of the other, the heart entwines.

In this world of insecurities, they find solace,

Knowing that together, they'll overcome and embrace
