For me, poetry is the purest form of expression,

For me, a good poem may or may not rhyme,

A good poem may or may not be rememberable but A good poem should make the reader feel the same emotion that the poet felt while writing it.

On other hand I also believe poems cannot be written on purpose, they have to come from within

 I have read poets who wrote for sake of writing and they are nowhere.

 I have read poets who wrote to express their emotions and they have made themselves immortal in the hearts of readers. 

With such perspective and understanding my expectations are always way too high and I often end up being disappointed by books I read these days however this time around with "Soft Glimmers and Shining stars" it was a little different experience

I saw one post about this book on my feed and the name "Soft Glimmers & Shinning Stars" had all my attention at the first go.

@Niki A was kind enough to send an authors copy of "Soft Glimmers and Shining stars" for review 

This is a collection of poems written at different stages of life which I was able to finish in two days. 

After reading this I can conclude that @Niki A has experienced more than what a normal person in their 20thies does, she has traveled more than a normal person do which is evident from the variety of subjects she has picked up in the form of poetry.

For me not all poems from this book were appreciable but some poems made me her fan, which intrigued me to learn more about the poet's background, and looks forward to reading more of her upcoming work. I  always keep a very high standard for poems I read thus not all pages of this book had me in but some poems made me believe that she is gonna be a great poet in the future. 

Improvement points for "Soft Glimmers and Shining stars": 

• Segregating the book in phases or kinds of emotions will keep the reader engaged
• Illustrations in the book could have been

Overall "Soft Glimmers and Shining stars" was much much better than I expect of a new poet and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
