"this is the journey of

surviving through poetry

this is the blood sweat tears

of twenty-one years

this is my heart

in you hands

this is

the hurting

the loving

the breaking

the healing " -rupi kaur

Reading a poet note like this,I was taken back. I was not sure if I purchased the right book?

Would I be able to interpret the poems in it?

wouldn't this be a heavy read for me?

what could I learn from such passionate poems written by a writer during her course of life and what good will they to me?

With all these thoughts in my mind, I started reading this book last night and after finishing this in a day,I feel I know woman more than I ever did.

This is the most I have learnt in a day and it's not possible to put in words how grateful I am to the writer of this book~Rupi kaur for challenging my male perception again and again with her limited but powerful words. Those illustration which speak more than multiple pages of any glorified book.

I read books to learn about others perception and increase my thinking horizon, this book exactly serves the purpose.

"Milk and honey" book audit report: The book has been named aptly, it has the sweetness of honey and the tenderness long-lasting effect of milk. Complete and whole within itself. This little book builts a whole new world of perceptions within few pages.
